Oak Ridge Woodlands Area Little League is a part of East Texas District 28 which includes Northwest 45, Tomball, Conroe and Montgomery Little Leagues. We offer fun and competitive baseball and softball for kids ages 4 to 18 in the Spring and Fall of each year. Little League Baseball, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball.”
Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
WHAT TO EXPECT PLAYING SOFTBALL AT ORWALL
Practices: Practice locations and times are determined by the manager of your team, not the league. Your child is expected to attend practice in order to play in the games. Failure to attend practices can affect your child’s playing time.
Games: Based on past seasons most teams have played between 10-12 games in the regular season + tournament games. Regular Season Games will be scheduled throughout the week. First set of games on weekday begin at 6:00 PM and the second set of games of the night begin at 7:30 PM. Saturdays are reserved for make-up games. Every effort will be made to minimize the number of late games for the younger age divisions.
Season: ORWALL is a competitive organization. Score is kept and teams are ranked which will determine bracket place for end of season tournament.
