Registration for the Fall 2024 season is closed.

IMPORTANT FALL SEASON UPDATE:

As our assessments are quickly approaching, I'd like to provide an update on the Fall 2024 season. 

At this time our facilities are still closed at the direction of the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner due to the ongoing storm debris operation taking place in the South Lot. The Montgomery Country Office of Emergency Management is overseeing the debris operation over the entire County. I have learned from speaking with this office that as of Friday they are approximately 60% complete with the project. Baring any extraordinary circumstances the facilities will be open to the public on October 1st.

How does this impact the season?

Assessments dates and times will remain unchanged and will be 8/17, 8/19, and 8/20 at Tomball LL. We are very thankful for Tomball that has graciously allowed us to hold our assessments at their facilities. By keeping with our original dates and moving them offsite of ORWALL fields, this allows us to get to playing baseball as soon as the facilities reopen. 

Draft dates will remain unchanged. Drafts will be held offsite at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Team Parent Meeting date will remain unchanged. Team Parent Meeting will be 9/7 at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

We will not have preseason practices scheduled by ORWALL or taking place at ORWALL facilities.

We will be delaying Opening Ceremonies to October 4th and Opening Day to October 5th.

We will be playing past Thanksgiving Break into December. We will not schedule games the weekend before, during, or weekend after the CISD Thanksgiving break.

If we are further delayed there is a possibility that we could play into January. We would not schedule games during CISD winter break holidays.

Given what we learned this week, this plan is the best solution to still make baseball to be a possibility for our players .This was not an easy or swift decision to make and many efforts we exhausted for alternative solutions. 

We fully understand that the uncertainty or new timeline does not work for everyone. We hope that you will see this season through with us, however if you wish to withdraw please fill out the form below. The deadline to withdraw and receive a refund is 11:59 PM Friday, 8/16. After this time, we will not offer a refund in accordance with our normal refund policy. The only exception to this policy is if the worst case scenario arises and we must cancel the entire season. Please understand we are not near that scenario yet, but want to offer some reassurance about refunds. 

Fall 2024 Withdrawal Request

I will also address another FAQ, number of teams and AAA/AAA. Right now our plan is still to have AAA and AA teams. However, if a large number of players chose to withdraw and the number of players no longer support the split we will not offer AAA teams for the Fall. Again, I hope all of you chose to stick this out with us and we will be able to offer AAA teams. We will provide an update on this decision as soon as possible.

GENERAL INFORMATION - LEAGUE AGE
Your player will play in the division based on their LEAGUE AGE. It may not match their current age as it's based on their age on a certain date. Your player's division for Fall 2024 is based on their age on August 31, 2025. This is considered their League Age.

The registration system will only allow you to register your players for the appropriate age division based on their birthdate. We do not allow players to play up or down in age. The division that the system shows you IS the correct division for your player.

Fall 2024 DIVISIONS
The following divisions will tentatively be offered this season (final divisions will be determined based on registration numbers:

• Kball – League Age 4
• Tball 5 – League Age 5
• Coach Pitch 6 – League Age 6
• Coach Pitch 7 – League Age 7
• Coach Pitch 8 – League Age 8
• Kid Pitch 9 – League Age 9
• Kid Pitch 10 – League Age 10
• Majors – League Age 11 & 12
• Juniors – League Age 13 & 14
• Seniors – League Age 15 - 17

AAA/AA DIVISIONS
Depending on registration numbers, Fall 2024 will feature AAA (formally known as Premier) and AA (formally known as Elite) divisions. AAA is for players with more experience and a high level of baseball skills. AA is for newer players or those who require more development in foundational areas of baseball. AA is available to all age divisions. AAA is available, through a selection process, for age divisions 7-year-olds to Majors. 

AAA and AA rosters are determined following skills assessments. Players MUST attend a skills assessment to be considered for the AAA division in their age group. No exceptions.

GENERAL INFORMATION -TEAMMATE/COACH REQUESTS
Divisions for League age 7 and up are drafted divisions. No requests for coaches/teammates are accepted.

K-Ball, T-Ball, and Coach Pitch 6 teams are built based on school and location as much as possible; however, there are other factors that must be considered.  Requests for coaches/teammates are accepted but are not guaranteed.

*Little League International defines siblings as brothers/sisters or stepbrothers/sisters residing at the same address. They do not have to have the same last name but do have to reside under the same roof.

PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE

The payment plan will split the registration fee into two payments:
• First payment due at the time of registration.
• Second payment will be automatically withdrawn on 8/16/2024.
If you opt-in to the payment plan and your second payment does not clear on 8/16, your child will not be considered fully registered until the payment is made.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION?* 
• Uniform - Hat, Jersey, & Belt
• 10 games, plus single elimination end of season tournament
• Lights, Facilities, Umpires, field maintenance, etc.

*Please note that teams often have additional fees for items they agree on. These may or may not include hat embroidery, player pennants, team banner, Fun Day basket, end of season trophies, and end of season party. These costs are NOT included in the Orwall registration fees.

REFUND POLICY
Once a player has attended skills assessments (or skills assessments dates have all passed), no refunds are given. Once rosters are released, no refunds are given. Refunds during the season are considered on an individual basis due to injury or illness.

PRE-SEASON PRACTICE SCHEDULES
You will not receive pre-season practice schedules until you are contacted by your player's Head Coach. 

Prior to the start of the season, teams typically practice 2-3 times per week. 1-2 evening practices during the week and one of Saturday. Times will vary.  Head Coaches will be responsible for scheduling their own pre-season practice schedule and locations.

GAME SCHEDULES
Game schedules will not be released until after practices have started.

Teams typically play 2 games per week -- One evening game during the week and one on Saturday. Saturday games begin at times between 9:00am and 6:00/7:00pm. Times will vary week by week. If rainout occurs players should be prepared to play Sunday afternoons starting at 2pm.

For our players 7 and older, teams will have a few late start weeknight games during the season. These games typically begin at 7:45/8:00pm. The schedule is balanced across all teams so every team will have some late games. If we end up with a lot of weather cancellations during the season, some teams may have more late games as those are often our available time slots for rescheduled games.

For our younger players, our goal is to only have them play early evening games. If we end up with a lot of weather cancellations during the season, some teams may have a late start game as those are often our available time slots for rescheduled games. We do our best to limit those late games to Friday evenings.

Season start and end dates are subject to change due to weather, outside field issues, or acts of God. These incidents could change without notice due to events beyond our control. Any delay may cause the game schedule to be changed from the original posted at the beginning of the season.

FALL 2024 IMPORTANT DATES
• Monday, July 1st – Registration opens
• Friday, August 9th – Registration closes
• Saturday, August 10th – Saturday, August 16th – Late Registration Period

Late Registration: Once registration has closed, any player wanting to register will be placed on a waitlist and moved into divisions as space becomes available. (If moved from wait list, the $40 late fee will apply.) Once the season begins, players will not be moved off the wait list unless there is an injury or illness.

• Saturday, August 17th – Skills Assessments (for ages 7-12)
• Monday, August 19th – Skills Assessments (for ages 7-12)
• Tuesday, August 20th - Skills Assessments (for ages 7-17)

• Saturday, August 24th – Wednesday, August 28th – Draft Week & Rosters Released
• Saturday, August 31st – Practices Begin
• Saturday, September 7th – Team Parent Meetings
• Friday, October 4th or Saturday, October 5th – Opening Day
• Friday, October 25th – Pictures Day*

*This will be the ONLY day for pictures due to the schedules and the delayed season.

Season is expected to extend after Thanksgiving break and into December. Specific dates will be dependent on weather throughout the season and will not be determined until we are closer to the End of Season tournament.

Please note: Games will be played on October 11th, 12th & 14th as well as November 4th & 5th.

BASEBALL SKILLS ASSESSMENTS FOR LEAGUE AGE 7-17
Players do not have to attend a skills assessment. All players will be on a team. If a player does not attend a skills assessment, they will not be eligible to be drafted by a coach. They will be randomly hat picked onto teams at the end of the draft in the draft order.

All players who wish to be considered for AAA divisions (League Ages 7-12) MUST attend a skills assessment. If they do not, they will not be eligible to be drafted into AAA. No exceptions.

Skills assessments will be held at Tomball Little League Parks (725 N. Cherry St., Tomball, TX 77375). ONLY assessments will be at Tomball LL. 

Players only need to attend ONE skills assessment.

• Saturday, August 17th – Skills Assessments (for ages 7-12)
• Monday, August 19th – Skills Assessments (for ages 7-12)
• Tuesday, August 20th - Skills Assessments (for ages 7-17)

Links to skills assessment sign-ups will be included in registration confirmation notes with the exception of Juniors and Seniors who will receive links for signups at a later date.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
The volunteer badging process is done completely online through the orwallbaseball.com website. During registration, you will have the opportunity sign up for a volunteer badge (recommended for all parents/guardians).

All volunteers on the field, must have a badge. Spring 2024 badges will be valid for Fall 2024. 

To do this, you can do it during the registration process or by logging into your account and looking for the VOLUNTEER menu option. 

All badges will be digital this season. All volunteers who pass/have passed their annual background check will receive their badge via email. Please note it can take anywhere from 24 hrs – 1 week for the background check to be completed.

Each Little League volunteer is required to have an annual background check. Your badge lets our umpire staff and board members know that you have passed the required background check.

During the signup process, you will be required to submit your Social Security Number and Driver's License information through our secure server. You will also need to upload a photo of your Driver's License and a photo of yourself that will be used to print your badge.

Once you have completed the online portion, you will receive an email with the subject line "ORWALL LITTLE LEAGUE Background Questionnaire Notification." Please read and complete the process outlined (it only takes a few minutes). If you do not complete this portion, you will not be eligible to receive a badge as your background check will not have been completed.

We encourage all parents/guardians to get a badge. You never know when you may need to help out!
